Cholesterol is a substance similar to wax that produces from the liver. It is found in all animals, human cells membrane in the body. Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL): LDL is also known as bad cholesterol because it is very harmful to our body. It is produced by the liver, responsible for transporting fat from the liver to other parts of the body such as the muscle, tissue, and heart. When the amount of excess in our body becomes more than necessary, it slowly starts to freeze in the inner walls of the arteries that carry blood flow in our heart and brain; due to this, the holes of the arteries are closed, and this causes heart attack and stroke.
High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL): HDL is considered to be good cholesterol; it is created from the liver itself. Excess of HDL cholesterol is a good sign of heart health in our body. HDL levels up to 60 milligrams per deciliter are considered acceptable.
Very Low-Density Lipoprotein(VLDL): Which is VLDL cholesterol is more harmful than LDL cholesterol and also the reason for heart diseases.
Why is cholesterol increases in our body: Liver maintains the balance of cholesterol, but many times the ratio deteriorates. There can be lots of reasons behind spoiling the balance.
When we eat lots of fatty food or are negligent in eating, when our body becomes obese, when we don’t work regularly, our cholesterol levels also worsen due to genetic factors.
